SERVICE PROVIDERS | SASOL SHE COMPLIANCE  
 
In order to provide Sasol with a management framework to ensure the delivery of goals in a risk-based, standardized and systematic way, the One Sasol SHE Excellence approach,  was implemented.
 
Setting the tone for creating a high-performance organization from a Safety, Health and Environmental perspective, our approach is risk- based and requires the leadership, workforce and service providers to take full accountability for working safely and responsibly, every day. Embracing the Sasol Shared values we believe our approach is aligned to this approach and that Service Providers utilized in the Sasol Operational areas, should also fully contribute to our safety values and objectives.
 
We have a robust assurance process which consists of an initial safety and technical assessment, followed by periodic surveillance assessments and an in-field verification process. The SHE requirements are agreed contractually and assessed in accordance with the verification protocols and requirements as described in  the Group Procedure for Service Provider Safety Management (SPSM), procedure (SSC-SAF-GST-00006). This is readily available to all Service Providers rendering a service to Sasol and can be accessed on the Supplier Management webpage.

Infield verifications are conducted daily on tasks performed in operational areas and workshops. Deviations on task execution are rectified immediately on site and reported to the supervisor or foreman. A precursor process is also in place to identify deviations of a repetitive nature that potentially could lead to an injury or fatality. Notifications regarding precursors will be provided only when required.
 
As a compliant Service Provider and a trusted partner in our drive to achieve zero harm, you are reminded of your responsibility to ensure that the Safety standards and requirements are maintained throughout the period you are rendering a service to Sasol. Furthermore, Sasol has the right to terminate an agreement should any Service Provider be found to be non-compliant to the legislative and our Sasol SHE requirements. Sasol has a zero-tolerance approach for any deviations to the subject matter at hand.  
 
It is our shared responsibility  to ensure a safe working environment for all Sasol employees and Service providers alike and compliance to the accountabilities as prescribed in the OHSACT and Mine Health and Safety Act is non-negotiable.
