Dear valued Supplier,

The recent announcement made on the 23rd of March 2020 by the Honourable President of the Republic of South Africa, His Excellency Mr Cyril Ramaphosa refers in which a nationwide lockdown for 21 (twenty-one) days was declared with effect from midnight on Thursday, 26th March 2020 to midnight on Thursday,16th April 2020 (“National Lock-down Period”).

Some essential services have been identified which will continue during this lock-down period. Sasol, by virtue of being a supplier to the energy, chemicals and food value chains, is deemed an essential service and most of its operations will continue.As a precautionary measure suppliers involved in operations, logistics, facilities management or SHE related aspects are therefore requested to make the necessary arrangements to be able to continue their services and communicate to Sasol their emergency contacts, structures and processes in place during this period. These arrangements should be forwarded to the relevant Contract and/or Procurement person within Sasol.
 
It is important to note that Sasol will issue individual suppliers with specific permission letters for movement during the lock-down period for the provision of goods or services that are required to enable Sasol to render essential services as announced by the President . Each of the Sasol Operations in the various regions will be managed according to specific operational site requirements which will be agreed with the relevant suppliers, for example stricter precautionary and screening measures to be put in place to protect all Sasol employees and service providers.
